Bio

Retired Judge James L. Kimbler served as an active judge from February 10, 1986, when he was appointed to the Wadsworth Municipal Court bench to December 31, 2014, when he retired from the Medina County Common Pleas Court, General Division. Since January 1, 2015, he has been on assigned as a visiting judge by the Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court to various courts around Ohio. He has conducted over 550 jury trials as a judge. He served on the Wadsworth Municipal Court bench for almost 11 years and on the Medina County Common Pleas Court bench for 18 years. He is the founder and owner of Northcoast ADR Services which specializes in mediation, arbitration, and "private judging" under R.C. 2701.10. He is the author of the book, Practical Tips for Trial Attorneys, published by Sigel Press.
