Dawn’s professional practice is focused on life care planning, elder law and trusts and estates matters, including representing seniors and persons with special needs and their families in connection with asset preservation planning, supplemental needs trusts, Veterans’ Affairs non-service related pension benefits for wartime veterans and their spouses, Medicaid for the aged and disabled, planning for disability, estate planning, guardianship, wills, trusts and advance directives and care coordination and advocacy issues.
Dawn is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (National and Ohio Chapter), as well as ElderCounsel. Dawn is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, The Ohio State Bar Association and American Bar Associations. She is a past co-chair of the PlayhouseSquare Partners Board.
Dawn has appeared in state and federal trial courts throughout the country, including in Florida, Ohio, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Utah, and has represented and advised clients in appeals.
Dawn has given presentations numerous times, including CLEs, on the risks and rewards of using social media to both practicing attorneys and law students.
