Legal assistance attorney for the Ninth Coast Guard District since 2001. Provides counsel and other legal services to Coast Guard personnel and family members stationed around the Great Lakes, as well as personnel from other branches of the military. Assists on a wide range of legal issues, including consumer disputes, landlord-tenant matters, estate planning, family law, the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment RIghts Act. Serves on board of directors for the Ohio Military and Veterans Legal Assistance Project, the Geauga County Chapter of National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), and on the advisory board of Statesidelegal.org - the first national clearinghouse website for military and veteran families. Guest instructor at Army JAG School in Charlottesville, VA, and Naval Justice School in Newport, RI. Served 21 years on active duty with USAF. Assignments included Defense Language Institute, Monterey, CA; Loring AFB, ME; Ramstein AB, GE; Ft. Meade, MD, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH; and Kirtland AFB, NM. Enjoys hiking, movies, reading and travel with his three adult children and close friend Joyce. Lives in Chagrin Falls with his son Greg and German Shepherd puppy - Hildie.
