Mr. Burdge has 43 years of Consumer Law trial and appellate work in state and federal courts. In his career he has handled civil, criminal, and administrative cases by court appointment and private engagement and has appeared in numerous state and federal jurisdictions nationwide, handling cases from trial up to the U.S. Supreme Court.
He was first named a Super Lawyer in 2005 and repeatedly named to that status thereafter. Mr. Burdge authored and co authored numerous chapters of books and articles on the Law and Attorney Fee issues published by the ABA, Thomson Reuters - West Publishing, the National Consumer Law Center, and several bar associations, and is a frequent speaker on attorney fee issues before national, state, and local bar associations and professional conferences.
For over 23 years Mr Burdge has conducted a national survey on attorney fees and law office practices in the area of Consumer Law and edited and published the results in a series titled the United States Consumer Law Attorney Fee Survey Report and the United States Consumer Bankruptcy Law Attorney Fee Survey Report, reporting on the law office economics of United States attorneys who handle legal matters for and involving consumers. His published reports have been used by Courts in more than 46 jurisdictions, plus the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Departments of Justice and the Labor Department and the American Arbitration Association, and can be downloaded for free from the survey website Attorney Fee Study dot com.
For over two decades Mr. Burdge has provided expert witness analyses and testimony on Attorney Fee and Consumer Law issues in numerous state and federal courts nationwide.
