  • Our CLE presentation at the OSBA Annual Convention

I invite you to attend our Committee's presentation at the Annual Convention on May 1, 2015: "WHAT EVERY OHIO ATTORNEY NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT CYBER SECURITY AND DIGITAL RECORD-KEEPING." This presentation is a “must attend” for Ohio solo practitioners and Ohio law firms of all sizes. Knowledgeable experts will address security risks and protective measures relating to electronic information stored on your computer or on the cloud, including emails, documents, calendars, contact information, sensitive confidential records, electronically filed court documents, including sealed records, and protective orders. The presentation is not hyper-technical, but will be a practical discussion of managing your digital records to avoid risks and ethical problems. We will discuss steps lawyers can take to mitigate risks and what to do if a breach occurs. Speakers will include the Director of the U.S. Department of Justice Cyber Crime Laboratory, Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section; the Legal Technology Specialist, Litigation Support Unit, Ohio Attorney General; Cyber Liability Specialist, Ohio Bar Liability Insurance Company; the Chief Deputy Clerk and Director of Information Technology for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio; and a panel of knowledgeable experts and state and federal judges. I look forward to seeing you in Sandusky, Bob Steinberg
